Jeffrey Bardzell is Professor Informatics and Director of HCI/Design in the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University – Bloomington.
His research foci include research through design, user experience and aesthetics, and digital creativity, with particular emphases on critical design and design criticism. He is the co-author of Humanistic HCI (Morgan Claypool, 2015) and co-editor of Critical Theory and Interaction Design (MIT Press, 2018).

Lene Nielsen is Associate Professor at IT university, Copenhagen and Denmark’s leading expert in the persona method. She has a PhD in personas and scenarios, and through her research and practical experiences has developed her own approach to the method – 10 Steps to Personas.
Lene Nielsen has developed the persona method for more than 20 years and has helped a great number of Danish companies apply personas. Lene Nielsen has written more than 80 papers, 3 books and chapters in several books including The Encyclopedia of Human Computer Interaction.
Head of Product Design, Tokopedia
Monika Halim, or most people call her Momo, is the Head of Product Design at Tokopedia, an Indonesian super-ecosystem tech company unicorn. She’s leading a team of 130+ people of ux designers, ui designers, researchers, ux writers and a design system team; Working to establishing user-centered focus approach, drive transformational change and streamline experience outcome.
She has more than 9 years of experience in design, more than half of it in leadership role reporting directly to C-levels. Previously she’s the Product Design VP at GOJEK, led the design team that contributed since early GOJEK’s growth-spurt, where 4 product verticals becomes 20 and the business grew 900x within 15 months.
Apart from her work, Momo is passionate in mentorship and coaching. She’s active in ux community and has spoken in design meet-ups and conferences. Through Tokopedia, they recently initiated the first Product Design Academy in Indonesia, a 9 months intensive program that aims to accelerate the growth of product design talents in Indonesia.
Senior Lecturer, Edith Cowan University
Christopher is a design researcher, and design strategist since year 2004. He is currently teaching as a Senior Lecturer at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. His career aim is to conduct research into relationships between design and people, and to apply design approaches to improve human interactivity, communication, and quality of life.
Trained as a graphic and information designer, Christopher dedicates the past 16 years in applying the ways designers think to improve and innovate businesses, organisations, and communities. Through consulting practice and academic research, he has since contributed to building Human-Centred Design framework to understand complex challenges, while developed prototypes to enhance human experience in social, cultural, healthcare and business sectors.
Christopher’s passion is to leverage on the designer’s mindset of embracing uncertainty and prototyping possibilities, in order to empower stakeholders to co-develop effective, meaningful, sustainable, and ethical solutions.
Head of Product Design, Mozilla
Daria Loi is an accomplished creative & technical leader with a passion for mixing design strategy with UX research to enrich people’s everyday life and with a long track record exploring novel territories and leading through design innovation. In her current Senior Director role at Mozilla Corporation, she heads Product Design for Emerging Technologies.
Prior to Mozilla, she was Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation, Senior Research Fellow at RMIT University Australia and architect in Italy. She conducted research and presented her work in most continents, published 80+ articles & papers, holds 10+ patents, and is chair or committee member on numerous journals, institutes and conferences.
In 2018 she was recognized as one of Italy’s 50 most inspiring women in tech (InspiringFifty) and received Intel’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Award.
Lecturer, Nanyang Polytechnic
Eugene is currently a full-time faculty staff at the School of Business Management, teaching Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking for Innovation modules. Prior to joining Nanyang Polytechnic, Eugene had held many senior management positions in companies such as M1, SPH Magazine Pte Ltd and Hardware Zone.
As a co-founder of Hardware Zone, a dot-com company that publishes the highly popular www.hardwarezone.com and HWM, Eugene was responsible for building the company and its people from inception, overseeing the backend operations to sales and marketing. After successfully completed 2 rounds of fund-raising, he helped propel the company into Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
He was the key driver in putting human capital and processes in place and transformed the company into a profitable, multi-million business. In 2006, the company was successfully sold to Singapore Press Holdings (SPH).
